Packing for any vacation can be tough, but there's just something about packing for a trip to Disney that takes that little bit of stress away from the packing process. The magic, the excitement, the counting down the days (or hours - depending what kind of packer you are) can be fun to think about, but it also may leave you forgetting some of the most important items you should pack for your trip! Disney isn't like other vacations - there's a lot of time spent away from your resort, which means you'll want to pack products that travel well (if it's something you plan on leaving at the resort) and products that do their job (if it's something that you plan on taking with you throughout the day)! One may not think "beauty products" when packing for their Disney vacation, but trust me, you're going to need these, and you're going to be very happy you packed them!

1. Hairspray. Florida is extremely humid, especially if you decide to visit Walt Disney World in the summer months! If your hair is unmanageable in the humidity - look no further. I've discovered the best natural-based hairspray that not only smells great and gives your hair the perfect hold, but it also does it extremely lightly due to the fact that it's free of harsh chemicals! Just spray a little bit where needed & you're good to go for the rest of the day!

2. Moisturizer with SPF. Protect your skin, people!!! I cannot stress the importance of protecting your skin from the sun enough. Although you may think that you'll be fine walking around Walt Disney World without sunscreen, you won't! Yes, you'll most likely be in and out of rides, shows, and restaurants, but the Florida sun is strong and we need sun protection! I know my face (particularly my nose) gets burned easier than the rest of my body, and I don't always want to put actual sunscreen directly on to my face due to the fact that it can be thick or uncomfortable. This is where a moisturizer with SPF comes in! NOTE: If you have sensitive skin or get burned easily, you may need something stronger than a moisturizer, but that is simply what I use/recommend.

3. Smoothing Shampoo/Conditioner. As mentioned earlier, the humidity in Florida can be killer to your hair, especially if your hair isn't used to intense humidity! This can leave your hair a frizzy mess, which nobody wants! I use the Monat Smoothing Shampoo & Conditioner to prevent and tame frizz, while keeping my hair shiny & feeling clean. This natural-based formula is cruelty-free, vegan, paraben & sulfate free, and safe for all hair types along with color treated hair.

4. Deodorant! Although this seems like a given, people forget! If you have a long day ahead of you in the parks, bring a backpack to the parks (you'll thank me later) and keep your deodorant with you in case you need it throughout the day! If you have a full park day planned, you may not have time to stop back at your resort to freshen up. Keep your deodorant on you for when you need (or if you need) to reapply. I do this all the time - better safe than sorry!

5. Frizz Primer. If your hair struggles with frizz and humidity so much to the point where a shampoo and conditioner may not be enough, or if you want to skip the shampoo and conditioner and stick to a styling product to tame your frizz, I have the perfect solution for you! The Monat Frizz-Fix Smoothing Primer is natural-based and fights humidity, leaving your hair shiny and smooth.

6. Hyaluronic Acid. This is newly popular to the skincare world, and it's taking over for a reason! Hyaluronic Acid refreshes your skin and gives you a moisture boost by attracting water molecules to your skin. Your skin can benefit greatly from this while spending your days outside in the parks, due to the humid weather in Florida!

7. Leave-In Conditioner. Did you know your hair and scalp needs the same amount of protection from the sun as your skin does? Most of us don't think to take necessary precautions when it comes to our hair and the sun. Monat's Restore Leave-In Conditioner contains a natural ingredient called Crodasorb, which acts like sunscreen for your hair! Keep it in your pool bag, apply a small amount to your hands, rub together & run it through your hair! Your hair will be really soft & saved from the chlorine, too!

8. Waterproof mascara. If you're like me and mascara is a staple in your makeup routine, waterproof mascara is a must while traveling! Since you'll be hot & sweaty while walking around WDW, might as well make your lashes look good and last all day! Waterproof mascara is also key if you want to add a little pop of glam while relaxing by the pool. (Got to get that cute IG worthy bikini pic, right?!) Better Than Sex by Too Faced is my personal go to!

9. Detangler. You're on vacation, so I would hope you decide to spend quality time at your resort pool! Disney resorts have amazing pools to offer to their guests, and everyone deserves a relaxing break from the parks during their stay! The pools are filled with fun activities, music, dancing, and drinks! Or maybe you'll decide to head to one of Disney's water parks! Either way, we all know how pool water can leave your hair dry, stringy, and stuck together. Pack a detangler in your pool bag to spray all over your hair and brush it out after taking a dip!

10. Hand Sanitizer. Although this may not be considered a beauty product to many, I find that it falls into the category of "things to remember while packing." There are A LOT of people at Walt Disney World! Even though it's one of the cleanest places in the world, germs are germs, and just because they're Disney germs, doesn't mean they're magical germs that won't get you sick! I like to keep a small bottle of hand sanitizer in my carry-on bag (planes are the WORST when it comes to germs) and another small bottle in my bag that I take with me to the park. Some of my favorites are from Bath & Body Works, they all smell really good and you can get a pack of five for $6, one for everyone in the family!

I could go on and on about beauty essentials for your Disney vacation, but I just wanted to share with you some of my absolutely favorites! For any questions about the products, or for any other information regarding your Disney trip, email us at pixietravelco@gmail.com !
